We are considering purchasing a tractor (Red)with faded paint.

actually well to restore the paint. Thank you.

I brought our 4440 out from faded pigment yesterday. I started with a small-scale orbital buffer and some rubbing compound. Then I moved up to some of mequires ultimate polish, I applied it with a buffer too, then I topped it off with some wax. Fender I really had to lightly moisture sand earlier I buffer on them, they were bad.

Wizards turbo cut rub on past hand and rub off. Follow with wax as it takes a layer of "dead" paint off and the new paint is exposed to the elements. I did that for years at the dealership to resell equipment. farmerBill

Once y'all use those products to get rid of old paint you volition take to keep waxing or make certain tractor is within when not using information technology. You can take a 30 twelvemonth old tractor and remove old dead paint and become beautiful results. it gets harder and harder the next time. Wax is no trouble but when you remove old paint and apply a finish restorer without a good wax overtop it can fade fast. Buffing can actually thin remaining paint.

And so. IL

3m rubbing compound with a cream buffing pad works wonders to remove the oxidation on the CIH tractors.
